PROVIDENCE – Marquis Health Services, providing subacute rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, has appointed Sharon Donaghue as senior vice president of operations for the company’s New England region.
Donaghue, a lifelong Massachusetts resident, brings more than 25 years of experience in the post-acute care arena, along with a versatile leadership style specializing in operations management, clinical oversight and reimbursement, according to a recent announcement from the company.

In the newly created leadership role, she will manage the operations of 10 Marquis skilled nursing centers in New England, including nine facilities in Massachusetts and one in Providence, the Elmhurst Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
“Sharon has the right blend of management skills and professional experience to lead our team and operations in New England, where we continue to make significant physical and programmatic improvements to further enhance the level of quality rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in the communities we serve,” said Norman Rokeach, CEO of Marquis Health Services.
Prior to joining Marquis, Donaghue was the president of a health care consulting firm and the senior vice president of operations for a subacute and skilled nursing organization based on the East Coast. She led strategic initiatives and coordinated care outcomes for the company in the Northeast region. Donaghue’s previous roles in the health care industry include senior vice president of clinical operations, vice president of clinical reimbursement and vice president of operations.
