Mental Health Association recognizes Gavigan

PROVIDENCE – Jean Gavigan, vice-chair of the board of directors at The Kent Center, will receive the Mental Health Association of Rhode Island’s 2012 Bell Award on June 6.
Gavighan is being honored for her work to promote greater awareness of mental health issues while eliminating the stigma of mental illness.
The event will be held at Patrick’s Pier One, 200 Allens Ave., in Providence.
The committee selecting Gavigan included Jim Doyle, former Mayor of Pawtucket, Robert Andrade, Elizabeth Earls, Robert Padula and John Tickner.
