FOR MICHAEL GIUTTARI, president of Providence-based MG Commercial Real Estate Services Inc., his job isn’t just about selling buildings; it’s about feeding his passion for the manufacturing industry.

Giuttari actually has an engineering degree and worked in the family’s manufacturing business before entering real estate.

“I quickly learned that I hated big business,” he said. “I wanted to be out on my own.”

Giuttari’s manufacturing roots led him to specialize in industrial real estate. He said he likes manufacturing and seeing products being built. Giuttari said he gets to regularly visit companies and see how products are made, using the latest technology offered.

It’s that passion for industry combined with an easygoing personality that has made Giuttari the go-to commercial real estate broker.

“I’m easy to get along with and I have an attention to detail,” Giuttari said. “There is not a lot of drama. I like meeting different people.”

Giuttari attributes his success to his reputation.

“I hear it a lot,” he said. “Even from people with other brokers, and to me, that’s important. A lot of our new business is referral, because we can get the job done.”

In addition to building his business, Giuttari is also committed to building his community. He is currently board president of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors New England chapter, chairperson of the Highlander Charter School board, and has served on the boards of countless youth organizations while he and his wife raised four children.

Giuttari said the organizations are what made his family “the way it is.”

“I’ve always put my kids first and business second,” Giuttari said. “I’ve been very proud of them, too. The community did it for us and I like to give back. Adults can make their own way, but kids don’t have the ability to do that, so it’s important for me to help the children.”
