Michelle M. Wilcox is the president and CEO of Crossroads Rhode Island, the state’s leading provider of housing and services for individuals experiencing homelessness, where she has earned a reputation as one of the most effective housing leaders in New England.
Under her leadership, last year Crossroads completed construction of the Summer Street Apartments, now the largest permanent supportive housing development in New England and home to nearly 200 formerly homeless adults.
Over the course of her career, Michelle has overseen the development of more than 550 permanent supportive apartments statewide, including an innovative health and housing apartment building for medically vulnerable adults that is scheduled for completion later this year and a 104-unit affordable housing development in North Kingstown.
A respected national leader, Michelle has presented at several national conferences and was recently recognized with Congressman Seth Magaziner’s 2026 Women Leading the Way Award. She serves on several nonprofit boards.
