MJSA awards 2007 scholarships

PROVIDENCE – The MJSA Education Foundation has awarded more than $7,000 in scholarships to seven student designers.
Since 1979, the foundation has granted more than $100,000 to students enrolled in jewelry-related programs in the United States.
Winners of 2007 MJSA Education Foundation Scholarships are:

• Lucia A. Perluk of Barrington, a student at Temple University, who is receiving an MJSA scholarship for the second consecutive year.
• Jane-Marie W. Ovanin of Amherst, Wis., who is a student at the Rhode Island School of Design.
• Cheryl E. Acosta of Mesilla, N.M., who is about to begin studying at RISD.
• Carol A. Salisbury of Portland, Ore., who is receiving an MJSA scholarship for the third consecutive year.
• Jedediah A. Braun of Orangeburg, S.C.
• Davina R. Romansky of Akron, Ohio.
• Erica A. Waldron of Leonard, Texas.
