Moretti Cillino Guarriello and Co. joins YKSM

WESTERLY – The accounting firm of Moretti Cillino Guarriello and Co. LLC has affiliated with Providence accountants Yarlas, Kaplan, Santilli & Moran Ltd. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal gives YKSM “some 30 professionals representing diverse accounting disciplines,” operating out of Providence and Westerly, the companies said in a joint statement last night.
“The affiliation provides us with quality professionals and greater geographic reach,” said Richard A. Caplan, a certified public accountant and YKSM’s managing partner. “It allows us to provide even better service for existing clients of both firms, while expanding our client base.”
All members of Moretti Cillino Guarriello and Co. have joined YKSM, the companies said. Founder Leo Moretti, an accountant for 35 years and a member of many professional associations, becomes a YKSM principal. Lawyer and CPA John Cillino becomes a tax supervisor at YKSM. Corrin Guarriello continues to practice in the areas of taxation and financial reporting.
The agreement “allows us to become part of a larger firm which will give us the opportunity to provide an extensive range of services to our existing and future clients,” said Moretti, who is active in New England Peer Review.
The firm is striving to become larger yet, Kaplan said. “We are aggressive about our growth, and will continue to strengthen our ability to provide the full spectrum of CPA and consulting to our clients,” he said. “At the same time we’re cautious to associate only with exceptionally qualified individuals and firms. We are dedicated to providing personalized services for all our clients.”
YKSM provides accounting and auditing, tax planning and preparation, business advisory services, succession planning and business valuations, litigation support, peer review and alternative dispute resolution. Its client base is largely composed of nonprofits and family businesses.
Yarlas, Kaplan, Santilli & Moran Ltd was formed in January 2001 by the merger of the accounting firms of Jarcho, Schwartz, Yarlas and Santilli Ltd. and Kaplan Moran and Assoc. Ltd.; Morretti Cillino Guarriello and Co., now a YKSM affiliate, was formed in 2003. To learn more, visit www.yksmcpa.com.
