Naval War College debuts ‘NWC Talks’ video series

THE U.S. NAVAL WAR COLLEGE in Newport has announced a new YouTube video series highlighting the expertise of its military-education faculty.

NEWPORT – The U.S. Naval War College has just debuted a YouTube video series highlighting its faculty expertise, entitled “NWC Talks,” the college announced.

Each video, recorded on campus, features a 10- to 20-minute talk by a member of the faculty.

“Your U.S. Naval War College is a global command, with our faculty and staff having an impact on U.S. operations around the world,” said Rear Adm. Jeffrey Harley, Naval War College president. “It’s fitting then that we should harness the power of social media to share these scholars and their work with the larger public.”

The world-class faculty covers a global breadth and reach, NWC said, ranging from a Chinese Maritime Studies Group to a Cyber and Innovation Policy Institute, to a program focusing on ethics and emerging military technology.

Since 1884, the NWC has served as a place of research on war. More than 50,000 students have graduated from the military leadership education institution.

The videos are available on the college’s YouTube channel.
