WARWICK – The New England Institute of Technology is launching a new respiratory-care technology program.
The school is accepting applications for the associate degree program. Students will learn how to assess and treat patients with breathing problems and initiate, monitor and modify respiratory-care treatment plans. Training will take place on equipment used in the field.
Graduates will be eligible to sit for entry-level and advanced-level national examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
NEIT has been granted an approval of letter of intent by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Classes are tentatively scheduled to begin in October. For information on the new program, contact admissions at (401) 467-7744, ext. 3357, or visit www.neit.edu/RespiratoryCare. •
