New Bedford-based NFI acquired

NEW BEDFORD – NFI Corp., the New Bedford-based printed graphic solutions company otherwise known as Nameplates For Industry, was acquired by Renaud Megard of Hingham from its previous owner Don Rudnick, NFI announced on Wednesday. Megard will now serve as CEO and president of the company.

Megard was formerly vice president of the global supply chain at Cabot Corp.

“NFI Corp. is a great organization that has already grown so much during my short tenure here so far,” said Megard.  “We have been working and continue to work toward creating a vision that people believe in, and in doing so are making a difference for the people of NFI and for our clients.”

Megard said, “We enjoy being a part of the New Bedford community and helping to support the local employment. In the past year, we have increased our number of employees by 12 percent and we anticipate continuing at this rate of expansion.”

NFI currently has 46 employees. Details of the sale were not provided by NFI Corp.
