Westport Middle School and High School | 400 Old County Road, Westport
School is close to being in session at the town’s new combined middle and high school. Construction began on the $96.8 million project in April 2019, with the building expected to be operational by the 2021-22 school year. Most of the project will be paid for by the town, with the rest being reimbursed by the state of Massachusetts. The new 187,100-square-foot building, which will house approximately 860 students, will have classrooms fitted with LED touchscreens, moveable storage units, new regulation-sized athletic fields, a courtyard, tennis courts and a memorial garden. The project also included the demolition of the old middle school. Daedalus Projects Inc. and Jonathan Levi Architects, both of Boston, are the project manager and architect, respectively. Agostini Bacon Construction Cos. of East Providence is the construction manager.

Narragansett Brewing Co. | Tockwotton and India streets, Providence
Brewing tanks and other interior work is continuing at the new brewery in the city’s India Point section. Ground broke on the project in November 2020, with the 20,000-square-foot brewery expected to be completed in May. The facility will serve as Narragansett Brewing’s operational headquarters, on-site brewery and pub with indoor and outdoor seating. A. Autiello Construction Co. in Providence is the project manager. Herk Works Architecture of Middletown, Camera-O’Neill Consulting Engineers Inc. of Portsmouth, InSite Engineering Services of Seekonk and Peregrine Group of East Providence are also part of the construction project.

SSTAR Integrated Care Facility | Weaver Street, Fall River
What was the site of a burned-down mill is close to becoming a facility to help people within the community. Construction on the 44,500-square-foot treatment facility began in October 2020, and the building is expected to be ready for use by August. The state-of-the-art facility for the health organization that provides addiction treatment services will have amenities for primary care, behavioral health, education, research and clinical treatment. A. Autiello Construction Co. of Providence is the project manager. C.A. Pretzer & Associates Inc. of Cranston, Creative Environment Corp. of Cranston, Bohler Engineering, which has a Boston office, and Lomonaco & Pitts, Architects P.C. of Troy, N.Y., are also contracted to build the facility.
