PAWTUCKET – A former mill undergoing redevelopment has a new exterior feature.

A vivid mural, painted by the artist David Teng Olsen, covers 180 feet along the back wall of the Creative Commerce Center.

The building, at 881 Main St., is being redeveloped by Wayne Rosenberg. It formerly was the home of the New England Lace Co. and Tecumseh, an industrial machinery company, according to a city news release.

The mural, called Golden Spinners, recalls those histories.

Teng Olsen explained: “I took forms from both industries and created an image that evokes both of those histories in addition to the diverse local population of contemporary Pawtucket.”

The mural is visible from exit 26 on Interstate 95 north.
