TIVERTON – A castle-like home that was custom-built last year on nearly 3 acres of land recently sold for $5.3 million, making it the highest-ever residential property sale in town history, according to Compass Inc., citing records kept by the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service.
The 82 Nonquit Lane home spans 8,000 square feet, with four bedrooms, six full bathrooms and one half-bathroom, according to Compass, which represented the seller.

The two-story home, which was designed by DJC Design, features views of the Sapowet Marsh and Sakonnet River, Compass said.
The home’s first floor features soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the real estate firm said. Each level of the home, including the finished basement, provides access to outdoor areas, including decks, patios and balconies.
The chef’s kitchen and butler’s pantry are fitted with high-end appliances, stainless counters and built-in storage spaces, according to Compass.
While the upstairs is designated for bedrooms, the finished basement walkout level provides space for a recreation room, a gym, a theater and an office, all with water views and patio or garden access, Compass said.
The home includes an elevator and a built-in garage with two ports, the firm said.
The newly constructed home and the land it stands on were most recently valued by Tiverton property assessors in fiscal 2024 as being worth a total of $2.87 million, according to the town’s online property tax evaluation database. The 2.89 acres of land was valued to be worth $596,900.
The seller was represented by Renee Welchman, of Compass. The buyer was represented by Justin Mandese, of Real Broker LLC.
According to the warranty deed, the home was sold by Domenic Carcieri to Barsamian Holdings LLC, a limited liability company based in Dedham, Mass.
