ATLANTA, Ga. – Rhode Island local private nonprofits in need of a U.S. Small Business Administration loan to cover physical damages from Feb. 8 – 9 blizzard must apply before the May 21 deadline, according to the SBA.
Applicants eligible for low interest SBA assistance include most private nonprofit organizations, such as food kitchens, museums, libraries, schools and colleges that intend to invest in precautionary measures in lieu of future disasters or need funding for “unmet working capital,” according to the SBA release.
Loans up to $2 million will be awarded to qualified applicants for property replacement and repair costs as well, according to the business disaster loan website.
Interested organizations can apply electronically and securely at disasterloan.sba.gov.
