How would you describe the culture of your workplace? We always find a way. We take personal responsibility for making things happen. If we see it, we own it and make sure it gets done. We see issues through to their completion.
What modifications have you made to your workplace to support employee wellness? We just rolled out an employee assistance program that provides the following services: mental health support/counseling; child care; elder care; legal consultations; and financial wellness.
Do you have a preference for promoting existing staff or hiring from outside and why? We love promoting from within. In addition to being rewarding, it inspires the entrepreneurial spirit that we crave here at PBI.
What was a new employee benefit(s) or initiative(s) in the past 12 months? In addition to an in-house apprenticeship program, we started Pariseault Builders University this year. A syllabus has been designed for monthly classes taught by experts from outside and inside the organization on important areas and skill sets for our industry.
