PROVIDENCE – The iPhone app for Providence Business News went live on Apple’s App Store Wednesday. Readers can now access PBN in a format designed specifically for iPhones, iPod touches and iPads through the app, which can be accessed here.
The app, which has been in development for months, is free to download, and collects stories for mobile readers from the PBN website’s Breaking News feed, as well as from six single-topic news feeds: Banking, Energy, Health, Hospitality, Real Estate and Newsmakers.
Print and online-only subscribers will have access to all stories, while non-subscribers will have access to a large number of stories. Those wishing to subscribe to PBN should go here.
PBN will post new versions of the app as improvements are completed.
The PBN iPhone app was designed and developed by Danton Chin. He can be reached at danton@iphonedeveloperjournal.com and his blog is at iphonedeveloperjournal.com.
