PC-PLUS to host free technology fair March 20

WARWICK – A free technology expo will be presented Thursday, March 20, from noon to 7 p.m., at Boston Billiard Club, 33 Lambert Lind Highway, according to sponsor PC-PLUS Technologies Inc.
The event will feature the latest software, hardware and services from firms including local companies ServPrise, Paetec and Northeast Laser Image. Information technology vendors from across North America – including Microsoft, Cisco, DELL, HP, Intel, Del – also will be on hand for the once-a-year event.
Attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and have the opportunity to enter drawings for prizes including Red Sox vs. Yankees tickets, tickets to an “After Hours” networking event hosted by comedian James Dorsey, and participation in a local pool tournament.
Hands-on demonstrations are “an important part of the fair,” Greg Abrams, assistant vice president of technology for PC-PLUS, noted in a statement today. “This is designed for businesses to gain an understanding of the new technologies that can assist in growing their profits ”
“This event started with the idea that we needed to keep our customers and the marketplace up to date on the ever changing world of technology,” added Steven Cariglio, president of PC-Plus. “We have been overwhelmed at the response and anticipate that over 300 people will attend this year.”
