PROVIDENCE – The Festival of Historic Houses, the annual celebration of historic homes in Providence that sees private, historic homes opened to the public, hosted by the Providence Preservation Society, will take place June 2-3.

This year marks the addition of a neighborhood cultural fair highlighting the diversity among the Elmwood district’s residents.

Paired with the third annual PVD Fest, the festival will kick off with a preview party at The Webster Knight House at 118 Princeton Ave., from 6:30-9 p.m. on Friday, June 2. Tickets for the evening’s event are $125 and include admission to the Festival of Historic Houses hosted the following day.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., historic homes in the Upper Elmwood Historic District will be open for viewing. Tickets purchased in advance for Saturday’s event cost $35 for members and Elmwood residents, and $45 for nonmembers. Members who purchase tickets on-site the day of the event will pay $45, whereas day-of tickets will cost nonmembers $55.
