PROVIDENCE – ProvConnex could save you a trip, or two, to City Hall. The new website, announced by Mayor David N. Cicilline this month, allows users to access hundreds of services online, including paying your taxes or a parking ticket, filing a tree pruning request or reporting a broken traffic light.
For businesses, there is a section for certifications and registrations, licenses and permits, and links to other useful resources.
“Making city government more transparent, accessible and responsive continues to be my top priority,” said Cicilline in a press release. “ProvConnex gives residents user-friendly tools to find answers to their questions and access city services. It’s a great step forward for the city of Providence.”
The website also allows users to register to vote and submit a request for a marriage license or birth certificate.
ProvConnex offers information on R.I. Public Transit Authority bus routes, train schedules, bike paths, and a calendar of events that includes city board and commission meetings.
