Providence schools to get $800,000

PROVIDENCE – U.S. Sen. Jack Reed is to join Mayor David N. Cicilline, Providence Schools Superintendent Donnie Evans and other officials this morning in announcing nearly $800,000 in funding for city schools.
The money is to be used for upgrades to school Internet and telecommunications services. Details will be announced at the 11 o’clock news conference at the E-Cubed Academy high school.
