PROVIDENCE – The City last week launched a new Web-based technology designed to accurately track constituent requests throughout its departments.
QAlert, which will be used by the City of Providence’s Office of Neighborhood Services, will keep residents informed of the progress of their requests, Mayor David N. Cicilline’s office said in a statement. The system will allow residents to track various requests, including complaints about potholes, trash pick up and broken traffic lights.
When a resident contacts the office or another City department, the request will be entered into the QAlert system, where it will be assigned a tracking number and routed to the appropriate department. Residents also have the option to sign up for an e-mail update related to their request. •
