PROVIDENCE – A doughnut institution in Providence is expanding. PVDonuts, which operates from a wood-frame building at 79 Ives St. in the Fox Point neighborhood, will expand into a vacant retail space next door.
The new space will become the commercial kitchen for the operation while the original building will become an enlarged seating area, according to a social media post by the business owners, Lori and Paul Kettelle.

The specialty doughnut-makers opened nearly two years ago in Fox Point, after sharing a facility off Allens Avenue in Providence. Their building is owned by 79 Ives St. LLC, which purchased the property for $570,000 on Jan. 5, according to Providence records. Joanne Chang, who also owns the Olga’s Cup and Saucer property in Providence, is its registered agent.
