
PROVIDENCE – Two Rhode Island companies received awards of excellence from the Southeast New England chapter of the Public Relations Society of America Tuesday night at Hotel Providence.
This year’s SENE chapter awards were judged by the PRSA Puget Sound chapter of Seattle. This was the sixth annual PRSA SENE Excellence Awards ceremony.

The Providence-based Jai Communications Group received two Excellence in Campaign awards: one for “PVD: Personality. Vitality. Distinction,” a promotional video it created for Grow Smart RI, and another for “I Am,” a video it produced for the Providence chapter of Year Up.
Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island received the same award for its “INTEGRITY” line of business, which is targeted at customers who are dually-eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
Nine Honoree distinctions were also awarded to four companies on Tuesday.
The honorees include:
- Advocacy Solutions LLC with William A. Farrell and Associates for the Public Affairs category
- Caster Communications Inc. – for the Consumer Relations and Business- to-Business categories
- Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island – for the Video and Consumer Relations categories.
- JaiCG – for the Video and Community Relations/Cause Marketing categories.
The PRSA/SENE was established in 1982 to advance and support public relations interests in R.I., Mass., and Conn.
