PROVIDENCE – PPL Corp. through its charitable foundation is giving $500,000 to 29 nonprofits in Rhode Island, the company announced on Wednesday.
The funding from the parent company of Rhode Island Energy is part of its Empowering Communities Grants program, which aims to help nonprofits who work in the communities that the company serves, the release stated.
