PROVIDENCE – Cash collections in Rhode Island in September totaled $412 million, a 5.3% increase year over year, according to the R.I. Department of Revenue Friday.
- Personal income collections totaled $155.5 million, a 6.5% increase year over year.
- Sale and use tax collections totaled $104.9 million, an 8.2% increase year over year.
- General business tax collection totaled $85.8 million, a 3.9% increase year over year.
- Lottery transfer cash collections were $30.9 million, a 2.4% decline year over year.
- Departmental receipts totaled $15.1 million, a 13.4% decline year over year, including a $2.9 million year-over-year decline in licenses and fees to $10.1 million.
Fiscal year to date in September, cash collections were nearly level with collections one year prior at $1.1 billion.
