PROVIDENCE – Hasbro Inc. is relocating 100 of its West Coast employees from Burbank, Calif., to West Hollywood, Calif., according to The Hollywood Reporter. The toy company has signed a long-term lease for 31,435 square feet on the third floor and part of the fourth floor at The Lot at Formosa office building in West Hollywood, according to the report posted on May 5. Hasbro plans to move its employees and vacate its lease at its current office building on Empire Avenue in Burbank in the first quarter of next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Other companies currently at the 11-acre West Hollywood site include Miramax, Live Nation, People Inc. and Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat. “This move marks a new chapter for Hasbro, bringing our teams into the heart of West Hollywood and closer to the partners we collaborate with every day,” Kim Boyd, president of global licensing and entertainment at Hasbro, told The Hollywood Reporter. Hasbro’s entertainment unit in California is currently working on a Monopoly adaptation being developed by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap at Lionsgate, a new G.I. Joe adaptation set up at Paramount, as well as a Netflix competition series adapted from board game Clue, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hasbro also leases property in Renton, Wash.; Montreal, Canada; and Hong Kong. The company also has third-party warehousing agreements for approximately 3 million square feet in California, Illinois, Georgia and East Longmeadow, Mass., that are used primarily by its consumer products segment. On Sept. 8, Hasbro officially announced its plans to move its headquarters from Pawtucket to the Seaport District in Boston at 400 Summer St., ending speculation that had been ongoing since the fall of 2024. The new space in Boston will house at least 700 full-time Hasbro employees. The company expects the transition from Rhode Island to Boston to be completed by the end of this year. In December, Hasbro began posting job listings for its temporary Boston office at 25 Tomson Place.
