PROVIDENCE – The Governor’s Workforce Board has put out a request for proposals for up to $2.3 million for Workforce Innovation Grants to support partnerships between employers, and education and training providers.
Awards are expected to range from $80,000 to $200,000.
The deadline is May 15, and potential applicants should begin developing possible strategies and partnerships, according to the workforce board.
A bidders’ conference will be held April 9 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the R.I. Department of Labor and Training. Register by emailing amelia.roberts@dlt.ri.gov.
The grants will provide work-readiness, skills training, experiential learning, career pathways and jobs to unemployed or under-employed adults and out-of-school youth.
