Rhode Island Energy’s lower summer rates approved

PROVIDENCE – Some Rhode Island Energy customers could see lower bills this summer.  The R.I. Public Utilities Commission on March 27 approved the company’s proposed rates for this summer and they will take effect immediately, Rhode Island Energy announced Wednesday.  The company’s “Last Resort Service” rate is now 11.09 per kilowatt hour, 16% less than
