NORTH KINGSTOWN – The R.I. Air National Guard Saturday dedicated three buildings that are part of an ongoing modernization.
The new Communications and Security Forces Squadrons complex, Aerial Port complex and Entry Control building all are part of the 143rd Airlift Wing’s facilities. Their construction was federally funded, costing about $13.3 million, the Guard said.

The new buildings are part of an ongoing $140 million renovation of the Guard’s R.I. Air Base. Local companies have been invited to bid on the project.
