PROVIDENCE – A subscription Web site that will track foreclosure and auction activity throughout Rhode Island officially launched today.
The Web site, RI-Foreclosure.com, boasts a “complete listing” of all current foreclosures in the state’s 39 municipalities, it says. As of noon, the site had listed 622 active foreclosures – 80 of which were added this week – and 57 auctions scheduled for today.
The Web site is run by Rhode Island Foreclosure Inc., which was incorporated on Dec. 29 by Kirk A. Rerick, of Hope. Rerick did not immediately return a phone call this morning.
“As the rate of foreclosures continue to increase, it became increasingly difficult to obtain current information and [have it] in one location,” a statement released this morning said. Access to the Web site’s information is available for $14.95 per month, according to the site.
