RIMA to hold tax reform event

PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Manufacturers Association is hosting a tax reform event on Feb. 20 in Providence.

The event is called Tax Reform and R&D Credits: Opportunities for Manufacturers in Federal and International Taxation. It will be held at the Providence Marriott Downtown in Providence.

Among the expected speakers are R.I. General Treasurer Seth Magaziner; Peter Gervais and Kevin Kiernan of DiSanto, Priest & Co.; and Yair Holtzman of Block & Anchin LLP.

The event is expected to cover tax reform, which was passed into law in December, and how it will affect federal and international taxation. Speakers will also detail how manufacturers can help their businesses through research and development credits.
