PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Quality Institute was one of 20 finalists for the 2018 New England Innovation Awards, the New England Business Association announced April 6.
The Rhode Island Quality Institute works to improve health care quality throughout Rhode Island by improving internal communication and coordination, primarily through its collaborative database called CurrentCare.
More than 200 companies were nominated and were judged by 59 judges.
RIQI will compete against the other 19 companies in front of the entire panel of judges on April 12. Each finalist will be given four minutes to present their innovation.
Eight winners will be announced May 10 at the Evening of Innovation Gala at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, Mass.
