“This contract represents the Navy’s confidence in Rite-Solutions’ ability to provide innovative future capabilities in support of the Navy Warfighter,” John DePrimo, Rite-Solutions’ principal engineer and program manager, said in a news release.
The contract could generate more than 250 technology jobs in Rhode Island and Connecticut if it gets full funding, the company said.
Rite-Solutions President Joe Marino said the support of U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., played a key role in helping the company.
“Senator Jack Reed’s advocacy of and support for providing innovative and affordable solutions … has been instrumental to the success of this program and subsequent award of this contract,” he said.
Rite-Solutions, which also has offices in Pawcatuck, Conn., and San Diego, was founded in 2000.
