PAWTUCKET, RI, March 1, 2011—The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley recently announced that Salon Deniz, an upscale Cumberland salon that offers hair, make up, and spa services for discriminating women, will be participating in the shelter’s Fourth Annual Fashion Show, scheduled to be held at the Twin River Event Center, Lincoln, March 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This year’s show will feature the latest casual and formal wear for men, women, and children. Cocktails and a preview of the silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m.
This is first year that Salon Deniz is participating in the fashion show. The salon, which specializes in bridal and prom updos, coloring, and curly hair, also offers skin and nail services. Located on Mendon Road, Salon Deniz is owned and operated by master stylist Deniz Shabo, who has more than 25 years of hairstyling experience. The salon is opened Monday thru Saturday and has a staff of 10.

Tickets for the fashion show will be available through March 15. They are $40 each and $400 for a table of 10. To purchase tickets, call the Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley at 401-722-4626. Sponsorships are available as well.
The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley is a private, non-profit emergency shelter supporting children of abuse and neglect in Rhode Island, ranging in ages from a few weeks old to 12 years old. The shelter provides emergency housing, a trained staff, and a fulltime clinician. The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley was founded in 1979.
