SBA boasts seminar on adding revenue

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration is promoting a webinar about how to add more revenue streams to service-based businesses.

The webinar, scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, is produced by SCORE, a resource partner of the SBA, and will be run by John Corcoran, an attorney.

“Trading ‘hours for dollars’ is an easy way for small-business owners to make money, but not the smartest way to leverage your time,” according to webinar.

Corcoran will focus on how to scale up, looking specifically at the following areas:

  • How to add $50,000-$100,000 in new revenue streams with existing clients and networks
  • How to get away from the “time for dollar” way of doing business
  • Ten income streams you can implement immediately
  • How to get paid in advance to create one-to-many group programs or offerings

Corcoran is a former White House writer under former President Bill Clinton, and cofounder of Rise25 LLC, an education and training program that helps entrepreneurs.
