PROVIDENCE – Social Enterprise Greenhouse is seeking motivated and coachable entrepreneurs with early-stage health and wellness ventures with social impact for the organization’s 2019 Health & Wellness Accelerator program.
Applications are due July 15. The program begins in September.
The Health & Wellness Accelerator, now in its fourth year, is the Social Enterprise Greenhouse’s signature development program, featuring 12 weeks of blended-learning experience that provides social entrepreneurs with tools, networks and resources to validate their venture, understand their customer and formalize growth strategies.
Participants also receive one-on-one business coaching, a peer cohort model and access to coworking space. And after graduation, participants can get access to the SEG Loan Fund.
The purpose of the Health & Wellness Accelerator program is to stimulate innovation in Rhode Island’s burgeoning health and wellness sector and to help create more successful, sustainable “Do Well, Do Good” businesses.
This is a growth opportunity for all health and wellness ventures that address topics such as:
- Public health and population health
- Reduction of health inequalities and inequities
- Behavioral health
- Wellness and alternative therapies
- Health care, digital health and mHealth
- Health education and promotion
- Healthy aging for all
The accelerator program is delivered in partnership with Brown University and is funded by the state Department of Labor and Training’s Real Jobs RI Initiative, Newman’s Own Foundation and Delta Dental of Rhode Island. Twenty-nine social ventures have graduated from the Health & Wellness Accelerator since 2016. The application for 2019 is available at http://bit.ly/SEGHWAccelerator.
