How has COVID-19 changed your industry? COVID-19 has caused us to pause and reevaluate how we deliver care safely to the community. Processes for screening and identifying people that are at risk for having COVID-19 early in their medical treatment have been an essential part of keeping other patients and our staff safe. Delivering care in new ways, and gaining the trust of the public that we see in person for preventative and routine care in a safe manner has been one of my highest priorities.

What is the best advice you have ever received? People do their best when they know what to expect. I think about this phrase often and it has helped to remind me time after time to communicate well.
Where do you see yourself in five years? I hope to be in a role that allows me to design new processes to provide care for underserved populations, improving health equity across our state.
What moment changed your life more than any other? Becoming a mother caused me to completely rearrange my priorities and learn how to maintain a work-life balance.

What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help people. Nurses have the opportunity to make a huge impact for patients, which is certainly the best part of the job.
