PROVIDENCE – Simulia has signed a software development partnership agreement with Dimensional Control Systems Inc. (DCS), a Troy, Mich.-based engineering software firm.
The agreement’s purpose is to allow for the interoperability between DCS’s 3DCS and Providence-based Simulia’s Abaqus finite element analysis (FEA) software packages.

Simulia is a division of the French company Dassault Systèmes, which has an existing relationship with DCS.
“The partnership with DCS is part of our ongoing strategy to expand the Dassault Systèmes partner ecosystem to include best-in-class simulation solutions for a comprehensive range of applications,” Tom Battisti, director of alliances for Simulia, said in a statement.
“With this partnership and the product plan for 3DCS FEA Compliant Modeler in place, our joint customers can look forward to tighter integration between 3DCS and Abaqus,” Battisti added.
