NEW BEDFORD – Dr. Barbara Soares recently joined Southcoast Physicians Group Obstetrics & Gynecology, Southcoast Health announced.
Soares received her doctor of medicine degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Southcoast noted in a news release.
Soares is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the North American Menopause Society. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is an NAMS-certified menopause practitioner.
Her clinical interests include menopause management, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and abnormal pap smears.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her three sons.
