PROVIDENCE – StepStone Hospitality, a Providence-based hospitality management company, has acquired management of two hotels in Baton Rouge, La., the company announced Monday.
The move brings StepStone’s total number of properties to 10, part of the company’s rapid recent expansion. Its portfolio now includes double the number of hotels it had six months ago, according to the release.
The Baton Rouge properties StepStone will now manage are the Residence Inn by Marriott Siegen Lane, which is set to undergo renovations, and the Courtyard by Marriott Siegen Lane.
Together the hotels include 223 rooms and suites. The two hotels are part of the same joint-venture partnership as StepStone.
“They are extraordinary hotels and fit perfectly with our ongoing strategy to seek out growth opportunities in both the full-service and select-service categories,” Blair Wills, StepStone president and chief operating officer, said in a prepared release.
