National Grid has estimated that power would be restored to customers in every Rhode Island county by 6 p.m. Tuesday.

MBTA commuter train service between Providence and South Station in Boston was experiencing delays due to the heavy rain, wind, downed trees and power outages through the area. Outbound service from South Station to Providence was suspended this morning, affecting the Mansfield stop to Wickford Junction due to downed trees.
