In honor of its recent listing on Nasdaq, Summer Infant Inc., a North Smithfield-based company that designs and distributes infant and toddler health, safety and wellness products for ages 0-3 years, was invited to host the stock market’s opening ceremony on March 20.
Jason Macari, Summer Infant’s CEO, rang the bell at 9:30 a.m. to start the trading, accompanied by Steven Gibree, executive vice president for product development, Dr. Marlene Krauss, company chairman, and several senior executives.
Macari said the ceremony gave Summer Infant “an ideal platform to showcase our company to the investment community and our customers and to recognize the hard work of the team that got us here.”
He added: “Our listing on Nasdaq alongside so many other high-quality, rapidly growing companies is another milestone in our efforts to build Summer Infant into one of the leading companies in the juvenile products industry.”
