WARWICK – T.F. Green Airport traffic increased 10.6 percent year over year to 360,905 passengers in July, according to a report from the R.I. Airport Corp.
Southwest Airlines accounted for the largest passenger share in and out of the airport, with a 42.7 percent share of passengers, accounting for 154,149 travelers. American Airlines was the second-most prominent carrier for the month, with 86,214 passengers, a 23.9 percent share.

In its second month of operation in Rhode Island, Norwegian Air held a 5.4 percent share of passengers in the airport, with 19,332 riders.
Year to date through July, 2.1 million passengers have passed through the Warwick airport, a 1.9 percent increase from year-to-date totals in July 2016.
Approximately 2.2 million pounds of freight and mail passed through T.F. Green in July, the bulk of which was handled by Federal Express (1.1 million pounds). Total cargo at T.F. Green in July declined 1.7 percent year over year.
Year to date, 15.1 million pounds of mail and freight have been processed at the airport. Total cargo at T.F. Green year to date increased 2.1 percent year over year.
