The Providence Center raises more than $483K at annual event

PROVIDENCE – The Providence Center celebrated its 50th anniversary and raised a record-breaking $483,000 at its annual Circle of Stars event earlier this month.

A crowd of more than 275 attended the gala held at the R.I. Convention Center.

Those recognized as Shooting Stars Honorees were:

  • Maureen McDonald, trustee emerita of The Providence Center.
  • Mark Peterson, chief executive officer at Genoa Healthcare.
  • Dr. Michael “Mickey” Silver, chief medical officer at The Providence Center.
  • Dr. David Siwicki, co-founder of Dominion Diagnostics and GENEUS Health.

“I am extremely grateful to all of our honorees and supporters for believing in us and helping so many children and adults in our community receive the vital mental health and substance use services they need to recover and thrive,” said Deborah M. O’Brien, president and chief operating officer of The Providence Center. “Their unwavering commitment and generous contributions will help us to continue to deliver more than 60 life-changing programs and additional wrap-around services, including education, job training and primary health care for years to come.”
