WOONSOCKET – Thundermist Health Center has purchased 25 John Cummings Way, creating a new health center campus in the city’s downtown.
The building will house the health service provider’s dental and administrative offices.
Other tenants include Bank of America Corp., Ocean State Urgent Care and Abacus Health Products.
Thundermist acquired the property for $3.6 million on July 9, according to city property records. It purchased the site from Clinton ST Partners LLC, of Fall River, which acquired the property for $1.1 million in January 2016.
Thundermist, a nonprofit, already has another building in the immediate location, at Clinton Street and John Cummings Way. Altogether, the facilities will provide medical care; behavioral health care; dental; women, infants and children care; and walk-in care, as well as pharmacy and lab services.
In 2018, Thundermist paid more than $150,000 to the city for property taxes on its existing property, at 450 Clinton St. The center expects to pay another $130,000 annually for the newly acquired property at 25 John Cummings Way.
