PROVIDENCE – The nonprofit Business Inventory Factory (BIF) says it has already sold 10 percent of the tickets available for its sixth annual Collaborative Innovation Summit, BIF-6, which will take place in the city this fall.
Melissa Withers, BIF’s executive director, said more than 35 of the roughly 350 tickets available for the event have been sold so far.
BIF-6 will be held on Sept. 15 and 16 at the Trinity Repertory Co. in Providence. Among those scheduled to speak this year are Steven Johnson, the author and co-founder of hyperlocal news site Outside. In, and Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com, which was bought last year by Amazon.com Inc.
Tickets for the event cost $1,200 for those who register by June 2 and $1,500 after that. Members of BIF can send up to five guests to the event.
In conjunction with the start of registration for BIF-6, the group created a new section of its Web site, “Best of the BIF Summit,” that features 16 videos of highlights from the first five events. •
