UMass symposium to focus on marine science research

NEW BEDFORD – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s School for Marine Science & Technology will host the UMass Intercampus Marine Science Research Symposium on April 4.

The symposium, which will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the School for Marine Science & Technology East Building, 836 South Rodney French Blvd., New Bedford.

UMass says the symposium is an opportunity to learn about the cutting-edge marine science research being conducted by students, staff and faculty from all five campuses. The morning session will consist of plenary presentations and the afternoon will consist of lightning talks and a poster session.

In addition to presentations, the event will feature keynote speakers, a reception, and awards for the best overall poster presentation and best talk.
