UMassOnline program sets record enrollment and revenue for FY17

DARTMOUTH – The University of Massachusetts’s UMassOnline program set a new course enrollment record for fiscal 2017, the university announced Thursday.

Enrollments for UMassOnline reached 75,565 for the year, a 6.6 percent uptick from fiscal 2016. Revenue for the program topped $100 million, also setting a record for the program.

“UMass is proud of its expansive online academic portfolio and diversity of offerings that meet the needs of students around the globe,” said John Cunningham, CEO of UMassOnline, a group that supports the original programming that the five UMass campuses feed into the program. “UMass has made a commitment to providing robust online access to in-demand programs, and has designed and deployed several new offerings for adult students looking to complete their college degrees or advance their careers.”

The program added UMass Dartmouth’s Master of Science in Nursing Program in Fiscal 2017. Other programs added in fiscal 2017 were UMass Amherst’s Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, UMass Boston’s Graduate Certificate in Game-Based Teaching with Technology and UMass Lowell’s Engineering Management Online Master’s Degree.
