United Way hosts Medicare-enrollment help sessions

PROVIDENCE – Medicare open enrollment for 2018 coverage runs from Nov. 1 through Dec. 7 for individuals to choose and make changes to health and drug plans, and United Way of Rhode Island has scheduled Saturday help sessions to ease the process.
Each of the next three events will be held at UWRI’s office at 50 Valley St. in Providence from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trained navigators will be available to meet one-on-one and confidentially with individuals to answer questions about coverage and plan options, and to provide assistance with enrollment. The events are free, but those interested in receiving assistance are asked to make an appointment in advance by calling The POINT at (401) 464-4444 or 2-1-1.
