Courtney Smith has been promoted to Director of United Way 2-1-1 in Rhode Island, having previously served as assistant director of the 24/7, free informational and referral service that has changed the way Rhode Islanders access help. Along with managing all aspects of the call center’s operations and staff, Courtney works closely with RI Emergency Management to coordinate services, and is responsible for overseeing grants that support the work of 2-1-1. A resident of Warwick, Courtney holds a BA in psychology from URI and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in non-profit leadership and management with Capella University.
