PROVIDENCE – The Hip Preservation Institute, an affiliate of University Orthopedics, has launched, with locations in Providence, East Providence and East Greenwich.
Patients at the institute will have access to tools such as ultrasound, MRI, dynamic X-ray testing and interventional therapies.
“The Hip Preservation Institute is a state-of-the-art center dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and management of simple and complex hip- and pelvic-related disorders across the spectrum of life,” said Dr. Ramin Tabaddor, director of the institute and orthopedic surgeon at University Orthopedics. “This level of care has not been available to patients in this area until now. We have assembled the best hip specialists available and are thrilled to provide a coordinated approach to care that will ensure the best outcomes possible.”
The institutes are staffed by clinicians, therapists and researchers who specialize in pelvic-related conditions and hip preservation. Conditions treated include sports hernias, impingements, hamstring and other tears, and osteoarthritis.
